Le Maitai Polynesia offers excellent value for money on the main island of Bora Bora and makes a great base for enjoying the many excursions around the island and lagoon. The property is located on the southern end of Bora about ten minutes walk to Matira Beach with the coastal road bisecting the property. The main reception, main restaurant and Garden and Ocean View Rooms are located on the mountain side of the road. Maitai opened in 1998.

The Garden Rooms are located in a two story building surrounded by tropical landscaped gardens. The Ocean View Rooms are located in a two-storey building higher up on the hillside - those on the upper floor have lovely views out to the ocean, whilst those on the lower floor have partial ocean views being more obscured by the mature landscaping. All rooms have private veranda, king size bed and air-conditioning.

Beach Bungalows

Across the road on a narrow strip of land fronting the white sand beach are the seven Beach Bungalows. Although prime location, they back on to the coastal road and don't offer much privacy as the beachfront here is used by all guests. There's a nice swimming pool and beachside restaurant offering good value meals and the 19 overwater bungalows extend into the lagoon which offer beautifully simple rooms with the only drawback being that verandas don't offer absolute privacy from its neighbouring bungalow. Otherwise, the overwater bungalows offer great value.
